This policy describes how we handle information on brotherpax.com, including the English and Spanish versions of the site.

What this site does

This site offers free Advent coloring sheets that you can download in your browser, short resources about the Advent season, and links to buy the Brother Pax Advent coloring books on Amazon. The coloring sheets and books are for children. This website is written for adults — parents, guardians, teachers, and catechists — who are downloading materials for children in their care.

You do not need an account to use this site. You can download the coloring sheets without giving us your name or email address.

Information we collect

Information you choose to give us

If you want occasional updates about Brother Pax books and printables, you may enter your email address and ask us to send those updates. That is optional. If you do not enter an email address, you can still download the coloring sheets.

We collect only the email address you type into that field. We do not ask for your name, a child's name, a child's email address, a class list, or other details about children.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives technical information that is created in the normal course of delivering a website. This can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time of the request. We use this to operate and secure the site, not to advertise to you or build a profile of you.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate (for example, how many people viewed a page). Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and is not used to show ads or track you across other websites. Cloudflare says it discards visitors' IP addresses for this analytics product and does not store them in its core analytics databases.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect payment information on this site. If you buy a book, you buy it on Amazon, and Amazon handles that purchase under its own privacy policy.

We do not use advertising pixels, social-media pixels, or third-party marketing tools on this site. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, or an email marketing service such as Mailchimp.

How we use information

We use information to:

Deliver the website and the coloring-sheet downloads
Keep the site secure and working
Understand, in aggregate, how the site is used
If you gave us your email for updates: send you occasional messages about Brother Pax books and printables, and handle unsubscribe requests

We do not use your information to show targeted ads, to build a profile of a child, or to sell, rent, or share a contact list.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising.

We use Cloudflare to host and deliver the site and to provide the analytics described above. Cloudflare processes technical data as our service provider so we can run the site.

We may share information if the law requires it, if we need to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if Novemus, LLC is involved in a merger, sale, or similar transfer of the business. In that case, this policy would still apply to the information as described here, or we would notify you of changes.

If you click a link to Amazon, you leave our site. Amazon's privacy policy applies to what you do there. Our Amazon links are ordinary product links. We do not add affiliate tracking tags or Amazon advertising pixels to this site.

Cookies and similar technology

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies.

Cloudflare may set cookies that are needed to deliver and secure the site (for example, to distinguish ordinary visitors from automated traffic). We do not use cookies for advertising.

Where information is processed

We are based in the United States. This site is intended for people in the United States. Information is processed in the United States and may also be processed on Cloudflare's network in other locations as needed to deliver the site.

How long we keep information

Email addresses you gave us for updates: we keep them until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After that, we delete them within a reasonable time, except for a short record we may need in order to honor your unsubscribe request or follow the law.
We do not keep an email address if you download coloring sheets without signing up for updates.
Technical and security logs: we keep them only as long as needed to operate and secure the site.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small website, including hosting the site on Cloudflare. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You can download the coloring sheets without giving us an email address.
If you signed up for updates, you can unsubscribe using the link in any update we send, or by emailing courier@brotherpax.com.
You can ask us what email we have for you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing courier@brotherpax.com.

If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share your personal information as those words are used in California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you are a Texas resident, we do not sell your personal information, including any sensitive data.

Children

The coloring sheets and books on this site are meant for children, including children under 13. This website, including the optional email form, is for adults — parents, guardians, teachers, and catechists — downloading materials for children in their care.

You can download the coloring sheets without creating an account or entering an email address.

If you choose to enter an email address, it should be your own, not a child's. We use that address only to send you the updates you asked for. We do not ask for children's names, children's email addresses, or class lists. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe we have collected a child's personal information, email us at courier@brotherpax.com and we will delete it.

If you are a teacher or catechist, use your own email when you sign up for updates, not a child's email. Do not send us student names or class lists. We do not collect information from students through this site.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date. If you signed up for updates and the change is material, we may also email you.
